Fuel Cell Systems - brand identity, 3D design, exhibition design & large format print
Fuel Cell Systems produce revolutionary clean energy using Hydrogen based fuel cells. At the forefront of technology, their wide-ranging portfolio of fuel cell applications cross a diverse range of industries.
They asked us to help them solidify their brand identity and help promote their products at low carbon vehicle event, The Cenex Show.
Disciplines: Brand / 3D design / Exhibition design / POS & large format print
Designing a stand for an outside space
The exterior stand space we were asked to design for was 100m2, and needed to include a mobile Hydrogen dispensing truck and a mini Hydrogen dispenser. Aside from the physical items, and the requirement for space to accommodate guests, the client was keen that the stand be visually eye catching and clearly represent their brand messaging.
To emphasise the clean energy nature of the brand, and promote it’s gentle on the environment products, our stand design ideas not only included the beautiful flowing graphics, but we also included a set of Birch trees to compliment the messaging and provide a real link with the environment.
“CENEX was a great success and the stand worked really well. Thanks for all your help. The trees looked great against the other white tents - really differentiating.”

Bringing the designs to life
It is often tricky to accurately demonstrate what a large scale design will look like in the flesh. Often, if designs are supplied in a flat visual they can lose impact and an understanding of scale can be misinterpreted.
In order to combat these issues, our in-house team created to scale 3D visuals for Fuel Cell Systems so that each item could be accurately represented, and the stand as a whole could be viewed in a 3D format.
Delivery & installation
We worked with out trusted partners Digital Factory to produce the stand graphics, while the trees were sourced on a rental agreement from a set design company. The entire job was co-ordinated on the clients behalf by the Project Management team at Planet.
