CRM Students promo video

CRM students is the UK’s leading independent student accommodation management brand. They came to us to produce a video to promote their award winning services.

The video needed to effortlessly link together each service available by guiding the viewer through each stage of the process, but at the same time promote that flexibility was key, and that customers could have their requirements tailored to meet their own specific needs.

From storyboard to lights, camera, action

Given the required messaging, the planning process and storyboard stage of the project were crucial. Working closely with the CRM Marketing team and their associated departments, each frames content was carefully considered in conjunction with the style that was to be applied.

Locations secured, filming was done over 2 days at 3 locations, culminating in an office shoot with around 50 people! Techniques such a timelapse, tracking and match shots were employed to help sitch the scenes during the edit.

 
 
 
 

Animation & dynamic messaging

Designed to be visible without being overly distracting; the video was primarily for use at an exhibition, although it was also released to the clients website, and a cut version created for social.

Due to the application of the piece, the relevant messaging needed to be shown in on screen. In order to achieve this in a unique way, much of the core messaging was dynamically placed into the environment during post production, using motion tracking and rotoscoping editing techniques.

Animated graphics were also created, along with stylised cutaways and visual effects. These cleverly styled techniques allowed for seamless links between scenes, and pulled all the elements of the film together.
