Under rapid business growth, Telford Homes engaged us to overhaul their website which was lagging behind modern standards in both usability & security. The brief included requirements for a customer focussed interface, responsive layout, accessible CMS and stronger brand presence as key deliverables.
Find and seek
The new website ethos was built on focussing the usability of the site; giving far greater power to the customer, and enabling them to discover Telford Homes incredible range of developments. UX interactive prototypes allowed us to clearly map and test the customer journeys with the client ahead of coding.
Effective search functionality is complimented with price range and bedroom filters, along with a host of advanced search criteria options. This empowers the user to find exactly what they want. Giving them the information they need to make an informed decision. An incredibly important factor in choosing and purchasing a new home.

Everything at a glance
There are 2 key customer groups that Telford Homes market to; investors and home buyers. Both needed to be catered for in the delivery of the new site. Overview pages were added to the main website for each of the developments. These incredibly useful pages give the buy-to-let investor all the information they need at a glance, along with useful mortgage calculator tools and the ability to book a viewing, or register their interest - directly from the page.
Making a house a home
For the home buyer market, much richer and more enticing content is required to engage and drive the sales process. Each development has its own brand identity which reflects its style of homes, location and on-site facilities. To deliver this content, individual mircosites were created.
While each one is based on its own brand identity, the framework and navigation stack is the same across the board, allowing seamless experiences for home buyers as they browse multiple developments.
Behind the scenes
The website has been constructed on the world renowned Wordpress platform. We partnered with Bristol based developers Appeal Digital to deliver first class coding. Built from the ground up, the bespoke nature of the build means that the CMS really delivers for the clients specific needs and can be easily accessed by their internal teams to allow real time plot updates and other vital information such as pricing and availability. Integrations include a call conversion and tracking service, Google Analytics and SEO plug in Yoast.
