Planet worked with the The Ultimate Travel Company to develop a recognised branding that would unite the three travel agencies, whilst retaining the opulence and unique experience that they offered their clients.
There were two main aim's for the branding project. Firstly to create a solid logo that could be applied consistently across all forms of the companies marketing material. Secondly, to reformat the travel companies brochure portfolio, applying the new identity, whilst also creating an emphasis on stunning imagery.
Planet's aim was to separate the current large brochure, turning it into smaller, more targeted brochures. This enabled each brochure to be more tour specific. The design team developed a new grid, creating emphasis on seductive imagery whilst also making the information more accessible.
The initial brochure portfolio was a huge success, running for several years. In 2007, The Ultimate Travel Company approached Planet to update the brochure collection a second time. The design team approached the project by lifting the most successful elements from the old brochure, modernising the design and giving even more emphasis to imagery. To give an added edge and a luxurious feel to the portfolio, Planet decided to use a matt paper and printed using a UV inter-deck press so not lose any image quality. The final touch was to finish the writing and logo using a foil technique to add contrast against the matt paper.
